چکیده
The present study aimed to assess gadoxetate disodium contrast-enhanced (CE) positron emission tomography (PET)/magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with 68Ga-DOTATOC and 11C-5-Hydroxy-tryptophan (11C-5-HTP) in comparison iodine CE 68Ga-DOTATOC-PET/computed (CT) for neuroendocrine tumour imaging. Detection rate reader's confidence were evaluated each separate image volume: CE-CT, CE-MRI including diffusion-weighted imaging, 68Ga-DOTATOC-PET performed at PET/CT, PET/MRI 11C-5-HTP-PET, the three combined hybrid examinations 68Ga-DOTATOC-PET/MRI, 11C-5-HTP-PET/MRI 68Ga-DOTATOC-PET/CT. In 11 patients, 255 lesions depicted. depicted 72.5%, PET/CT 62.7%, 11C-5-HTP-PET 68.2% CE-CT 53% of lesions. (P < 0.001) = 0.02), MRI superior CT. 68Ga-DOTATOC-PET/MRI detected 92.5% 92% lesions, respectively, both outperformed 68Ga-DOTATOC-PET/CT (65%) 0.001). For liver metastasis alone was unsurpassed 0.01) lymph node diagnosis, 94%, 94% bone equally well 0.05) better than MRI. Role of molecular imaging in the detection of neuroendocrine tumour
Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) have distinct biological and clinical characteristics, in particular a high density of somatostatin receptors at the cell membrane [1]. It is this property that allows the use of radiolabelled somatostatin analogues for imaging of these tumours. Importantly, somatostatin receptor PET/CT imaging (e.g. Ga-DOTATOC, Ga-DOTATATE, Ga-DOTANOC) is superior to somatostatin ...

متن کاملp53 tumour suppressor gene expression in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour cells.
Neuroendocrine pancreatic tumours grow slower and metastasise later than ductal and acinar carcinomas. The expression of the p53 tumour suppressor gene in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour cells is unknown. Pancreatic neuroendocrine cell lines (n = 5) and human tumour tissues (n = 19) were studied for changed p53 coding sequence, transcription, and translation. Proliferative activity of tumour c...

Primary neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) of the mediastinum is a rare type of carcinoma. According to the literature, only five cases of this condition have been reported so far. In this paper, we present a rare case of mediastinal NEC of unknown primary site. The patient was a 34-year-old man with mediastinal NEC, who presented with chronic dry cough and a right-sided mediastinal mass one year p...
